Job Title: Sheet Metal Fabricator

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Sheet Metal Fabricator, where you will work in a clean shop environment with a start time of 5 AM, devoting over 50 hours a week to learning and executing the assembly and build process across various departments. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read a tape measure to perform essential tasks. Your skills and experience will determine your initial placement within the company.

Responsibilities

• Clean, break down, repair, and assemble furnaces and coils using chisels, hammers, hand, and power tools.
• Sandblast coils, apply epoxy or adhesives for insulation, and wrap coils with mesh material.
• Perform mechanical assembly and wire assembly, connecting wires following diagrams and installing wire harnesses.
• Retrofit control panels to customer specifications, utilizing hand tools and small equipment.
• Spray and paint coils and furnaces, mask and prep products in the paint booth independently.
• Work on mechanical assembly of systems and subsystems, involving pipe fitting and measurement tasks.
• Utilize forklifts and machines to move materials and perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Apply stickers, labels, and safety signs to control panel doors.

Essential Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to perform repetitive labor duties
• Capability to stand for entire shifts
• Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting fractions
• Experience with power tools, saws, hand tools, and screw guns
• Aptitude for brazing and soldering (can be taught)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication, automotive, HVAC, carpentry, or plumbing
• Preferred experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing plant
• Technical schooling or training is a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
