Career Progression

Qualified candidates will be placed into the appropriate level based on experience:

  • CRT: $24.66 – $42.57
  • RRT: $27.08 – $46.81
  • Senior RRT: $29.05 – $50.28

Your  Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.
  • Operate and manage mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration devices, and aerosol generators.
  • Perform pulmonary function tests and assist patients with bronchopulmonary drainage and breathing exercises.
  • Monitor vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Assist in mechanically ventilated patient transport and respond to all code situations.
  • Interpret clinical data to evaluate medical orders and ensure appropriate treatment.
  • Educate and supervise students and healthcare personnel on respiratory care procedures.

  • Graduate of a Co ARC (Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) approved Respiratory program required.
  • \n
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required.
  • \n
  • Basic Life Support or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation required Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRTT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required prior to expiration of temporary practice permit 
  • \n
  • Respiratory therapists who receive their CRT credential from the NBRC after July 1, 2002 are required to maintain certification under the NBRC requirements
