As a Patient Access Associate — also known as Front Desk Receptionist , Admissions Specialist , or Patient Services Representative — you’ll help create a seamless, supportive, and responsive patient experience. You'll handle front-line registration, insurance verification, and time-sensitive administrative needs, while gaining valuable insight into fast-paced clinical operations.

• Warmly welcome office visitors and callers
• Produce and keep updated patient files; help patients with documents
• Certify all insurance information, take copays and other payments
• Answer a multi-line telephone, forwarding calls to the appropriate area
• Keep office area clean and maintain a friendly, welcoming environment
• Comply with all health policies and regulations

Required Skills Patient Access Associate   required skills & qualifications include:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• A minimum of 6 months of work experience in a healthcare setting or one year of customer service background.
• Basic understanding of insurance preferred.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and billing codes (DRG, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills and customer service is required.
