Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager to join our airport systems consulting team. This role offers broad opportunities to apply and grow your skills across master planning, concept design, documentation, cost estimating, and on-site project management through installation and commissioning.

The project manager will assist the apron systems team in developing equipment specifications and manage multiple airfield layout options that meet client requirements. These include systems for aircraft parking, taxiing, and maneuvering, as well as apron equipment such as Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs), 400 Hz Ground Power Units (GPUs), Pre-Conditioned Air Units (PCAs), Advanced Visual Docking Guidance Systems (AVDGS), E-GSE Posi-Chargers, and Exterior Fixed Walkways.

The Project Manager will act as a liaison between clients, contractors, and our internal team to ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and design goals. Responsibilities include coordinating deliverables—such as reports, specifications, and drawings—with Designers, Engineers, and Executives.

Job Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing projects from start to finish, ensuring successful execution and client satisfaction. The candidate’s key responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the primary liaison and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for clients and contractors.
  • Coordinate with Project Designers to develop FAA/ICAO/IATA/User Airline-compliant gate layouts and apron system drawings using CAD/AviPlan and generic BIM models, along with related apron systems equipment specifications.
  • Coordinate with Designers, Project Engineers, Directors, and Executives to assign staff and develop all required reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members and other Project Managers to find the best solutions for clients.
  • Oversee discipline-specific requirements, including aircraft parking layouts and apron systems equipment design and commissioning.
  • Manage on-site activities such as surveys, inspections, installations, and equipment testing.
  • Supervise punch list resolution and provide start-up assistance.
  • Maintain project budgets and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Review and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Conduct and analyze system simulations for performance evaluation.
  • Provide feedback to Designers and Project Engineers to ensure the quality and accuracy of reports, specifications, and drawing packages.
  • Mentor and support Project Engineers and Designers to foster professional growth.
