Overview The Supply Chain Analyst is dedicated to overseeing the new product request process to assign and prepare for system-wide value analysis committees. This role will also support GPO conversion opportunities with the value analysis committees. Using multiple databases, the Supply Chain Analyst will provide analysis of potential cost reduction or utilization change opportunities, track value analysis initiative implementation, and help prepare value analysis product announcements system-wide. Responsibilities Collect, analyze, interpret, and summarize data, using Microsoft Office applications (Access and Excel), and multiple databases containing clinical and financial data. Design and maintain tables and databases associated with the Sourcing, Contracting and Value Creation processes. Interpret results to identify areas of opportunity for cost containment and clinical quality within the supply chain of the hospital. Organizes results into presentation-quality materials including executive-level presentations for use in senior management settings. Assist with implementation and roll-out of system wide value analysis software. Works with other members of the Supply Chain team including contracting, materials management, and group purchasing organization (GPO) and all members of the clinical quality value analysis team to support analytical requirements for various projects. May require learning additional data bases, reporting and analysis tools. Manages item dictionary by updating pricing, vendor information, packaging stings, new item additions and item deactivations. Supports achievement of Supply Chain's annual savings target by utilizes resourcing such as DataLynx, GHX, and Novus to review opportunities for SKU rationalization. Supports buyers, Value Analysis Coordinator, Contract Coordinators and Contract Category Manager with conducting analytics for contract conversion opportunities Supports System Analysts with supporting end users at each facility Qualifications/Requirements Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an Analyst, healthcare supply chain experience, required.
