Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Agile Coach to guide multiple teams through an Agile transformation for a Maryland state agency client. This role will involve coaching, mentoring, and leading teams in adopting SAFe practices, and fostering continuous improvement. The Senior Agile Coach will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful Agile execution and support organizational growth.Key Responsibilities:Provide coaching, training, and consulting on Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, etc.).Lead and facilitate team ceremonies (e.g., daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).Help remove organizational impediments to successful Agile transformation.Mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and senior leadership.Develop and deliver training materials and workshops to enhance Agile knowledge.Guide teams in managing backlogs and writing user stories.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited institutionMinimum 10 years of experience in Agile coaching and transformation.Deep expertise in SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban.Proficiency with Agile tools like VersionOne (strongly preferred) and Jira.Strong leadership and communication skills.Certified SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) or equivalent certification is highly preferred.Must pass criminal background check in accordance with Maryland state requirements.Security & Background Check Requirements:Employment is contingent upon passing a State-required CJIS criminal background check, including fingerprinting, and verification via E-Verify.Work Location & Requirements:Location: Linthicum, MD (onsite)Telework may be permitted based on team needs.Contract duration: 1 year, with a strong possibility of extension.Important Note Regarding Third Parties and Staffing Agencies:BH Zion LLC will not consider applications from third-party vendors or staffing agencies for this role.
