Overview

Pt Merchandise Associate at The TJX Companies, Inc. (TJ Maxx) location Forsyth, IL. Starting pay range is $15.00 to $15.50 per hour, determined by factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers
• Supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
• Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to the customer according to procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Maintains merchandising philosophy and follows established procedures and standards
• Accurately processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor
• Participates in store recovery and maintains cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and store
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Adheres to labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Supports shrink reduction programs and safety awareness
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Possesses excellent customer service skills
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Capable of multi-tasking and responding to changes in direction or unexpected situations
• Able to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
• Works effectively with peers and supervisors
• Retail customer experience preferred
