What you'll do

  • Design long and short term sales strategies, measure progress

  • Develop strategic regional plan to achieve revenue results

  • Create strategy for identifying new client revenue, ensure team executes

  • Evaluate market trends and develop strategies to support market growth

  • Develop and implement new programs to support team and business growth

  • Ensure sales team leverages business intelligence tools to identify targets and build new pipelines

  • Drive efficient and profitable utilization of capacity and resources through collaboration with Revenue Management

  • Collaborate with Sales Planning and Marketing to support regional growth initiatives

  • Partner with Operations and Customer Experience to deliver operational excellence

  • Support the sales process by attending regularly scheduled client meetings

  • Network within industry to drive brand awareness and promote network capabilities

  • Manage regional expense budget

  • Ensure delivery of targets through individual recognition, people management and accountability

  • Support training and stretch goals for all team members, measure progress

  • Allocate time for team member development and promotion

  • Support, recognize, value and celebrate team members

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training

  • 5+ years of related experience

  • Must be willing to travel weekly within region to support team and client engagement with some international travel

  • Prior Sales and/or Customer Service experience

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Prior Cargo Sales and/or Cargo Operational experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Ability to react quickly, synthesize large amounts of information to make solid decisions, and provide consistent communication across the organization to meet customer expectations

  • Possess strong leadership skills and the ability to lead a group of direct reports (in office/remotely)

  • Ability to work as team with proven leadership, possessing coaching and counseling skills

  • Ability to operate in a highly competitive and fast-paced environment

  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and project deadlines
