T&M Associates is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team! This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are eager to gain hands-on experience in general accounting while also supporting accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. The role offers exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities, with opportunities for professional development and growth. This opportunity is available in our Headquarter office, located in Middletown, NJ, with the flexibility of a hybrid work environment, with 2 at home days available.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounts receivable activities, including receiving physical checks, scanning for deposit, and assist with applying cash to customer accounts.
• Assist with accounts payable and other transactional accounting tasks as needed.
• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and support balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with variance analysis and budget-to-actual reporting.
• Contribute to the preparation of work papers and documentation for audits.
• Support special projects and ad hoc requests from management.
• Assist with review and processing of employee timesheets on a weekly basis to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or another related field is required.
• 0–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

T&M Associates is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices in compliance with applicable laws. T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $54,000 - $65,000 . The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
