A rapidly growing healthcare organization in Mission Valley is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Healthcare Customer Service Specialist to join our client's team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and providers, helping to ensure a positive experience through professional, timely, and accurate service. You'll handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and assist with general inquiries related to patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer high-volume inbound calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Schedule, confirm, and update appointments
- Verify insurance coverage and collect necessary documentation
- Provide accurate information about services, policies, and billing
- Maintain detailed and accurate records in the system
- Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to support patient needs
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare
- Call center experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance verification is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Working Hours:
- Full-time
- Onsite
- Monday- Friday
- 8am-5pm PST
Position Details:
- Location: Kearny Mesa, San Diego
- Contract to hire role
- Compensation: $24.00 per hour
