About the Role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to establish and lead our finance operations in Los Angeles. This role will be responsible for overseeing accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and treasury management for our U.S. entity, while ensuring alignment with global finance standards. The Finance Manager will play a critical role in supporting our growth, managing financial risks, and providing insights to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Accounting & Reporting: Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in accordance with U.S. GAAP and corporate policies.
• Tax & Compliance: Oversee federal, state, and local tax filings; ensure compliance with U.S. tax regulations and liaise with external tax advisors.
• Treasury & Cash Flow: Monitor cash position, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital.
• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses; provide management with actionable financial insights.
• Audit & Controls: Coordinate with internal and external auditors; establish strong internal controls to safeguard assets.
• System & Process Management: Utilize ERP (e.g., NetSuite) to streamline finance operations; recommend process improvements.
• Cross-border Coordination: Collaborate with the global finance team in Korea HQ to ensure consistency in financial policies and reporting.
• Team Leadership: Build and manage a small finance/accounting team as the U.S. business scales.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or audit.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and U.S. tax regulations.
• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and treasury management.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite or similar).
• Proven ability to work independently and establish finance operations in a scaling environment.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with leadership and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Preferred Skills

• CPA or equivalent professional certification.
• Prior experience in a multinational company or startup environment.
• Exposure to both U.S. and Korean accounting/reporting practices.
• Background in construction tech, manufacturing, or related industries.
