Job Title: Division General Manager Department: Operations Location: Croton, Ohio Reports To: VP, National Layer Operations Job Type: Full-time exempt Job Summary The Division General Manager is responsible for leading the execution and business performance of multiple farm operations within Versova, ensuring efficient production of safe, quality whole foods, safety and security of employees, and environmental stewardship. This role drives a culture that fully engages all employees through shared values and guiding principles, optimizes production and throughput, and represents Versova in the community.
Essential Job Functions - Execute Versova Business Imperatives and optimize production across all operations
- Lead with a strategic business mindset in an agricultural and food production environment
- Drive business performance through key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Engage a diverse workforce in growth from retention to performance to passion
- Guide and mentor business unit leaders to maximize P&L results
- Oversee stewardship in employee growth, safety, animal welfare, and sustainability
- Pursue relentless process and operational improvement
- Represent Versova through engagement with public officials and community constituents
- Ensure compliance with customer expectations and federal/state regulations
- Interpret financial and operating data to make actionable decisions
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Finance, Agriculture, or related field
- 9-12 years of relevant experience in operations management in poultry, agricultural, or food processing industry
- Demonstrated ability to establish and enhance a performance-based culture
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex situations
- Strong business acumen including knowledge of finance and cost modeling
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications - Master's Degree in Finance, Operations Management, or related field
- Experience with state regulatory requirements in agriculture or fertilizer production
- Track record of successful community engagement in agricultural settings
Work Environment This role involves overseeing multiple farm operations, requiring travel between sites. The position demands adaptability to work in a fast-paced, continually changing environment. The General Manager must be comfortable in both office and farm settings, with potential exposure to various agricultural conditions. The role may require occasional weekend or evening work to address operational needs or participate in community events.
