Join to apply for the Data Analyst role at National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Data Analyst to join the Market Solutions team. As a professional membership organization, NAEYC works to ensure high-quality early learning for every child, from birth through age 8, and supports educators, families, and early childhood professionals. NAEYC is a professional membership organization with 90+ employees across the US, that works to promote high-quality early learning for each and every child, birth through age 8, by connecting early childhood practice, policy, and research. NAEYC advances a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and supports all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children. Responsibilities Collaborate with the Director, Market Solutions and Customer Care to identify and prioritize data needs in alignment with NAEYC's strategic goals. Independently gather data from internal databases, surveys, and external research sources. Clean, prepare, and analyze data using statistical software and data visualization tools. Identify trends, patterns, and correlations within data to uncover actionable insights that support business decision-making. Create and present clear, concise reports and dashboards to communicate complex data findings to non-technical audiences. Stay current on best practices in data analysis, while maintaining a strong understanding of NAEYC's mission and priorities. Perform additional tasks as assigned that are logically related to the position. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or Certification in Data Science, Statistics, Business Intelligence, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3-4 years of experience in data entry, operations, data analysis, inventory, or related reporting tasks. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Experience with problem-solving in a membership-based or association setting. Familiarity with data collection systems (Salesforce, NetForum, iMIS preferred). Proficiency in SQL and BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present complex data clearly to diverse audiences. Preferred certifications in Tableau, Salesforce, and/or Microsoft Power BI. Salary Range: Competitive, based on experience and geographic location (remote work options available outside of the DC area). Position Designation This role is eligible for telework. Telework and remote work eligibility are subject to NAEYC's Telework and Remote Work Policy. The Hybrid policy requires three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday onsite in Washington, DC office and remotely Monday and Friday at manager's discretion). This role may require travel in support of company events. Business Continuity The nature of this role assigns this position to the Business Continuity team; therefore, this role is critical to business operations and may be called upon to be present in the event of an emergency or crisis.
