Position Summary

The Admissions Recruiting Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the recruitment and enrollment of students at Valley Forge Military College. Working under the direct supervision of the Director of Admissions, this position combines administrative excellence with high-energy outreach to prospective students and partner schools. The Coordinator(s) will manage student-facing communications, represent the College during recruitment visits, and provide baseline financial aid guidance to prospective students and families.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Outreach
    • Visit high schools, military academies, and community organizations to promote VFMC programs.
    • Represent the College at college fairs, community events, and on-campus visitation days.
    • Assist prospective students in navigating the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment.
  • Administrative & Office Duties
    • Manage application materials, student records, and admissions data with accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Utilize Excel, Word, and CRM systems to generate reports, track student progress, and maintain recruitment pipelines.
    • Provide timely communication to prospective students, families, and partners.
  • Financial Aid & Student Support
    • Develop baseline knowledge of financial aid to demonstrate how scholarships, FAFSA, and aid packages may apply.
    • Walk students and families through aid packaging scenarios under the guidance of the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid staff.
    • Learn and maintain knowledge of VFMC scholarship programs, pathways, and enrollment requirements.
  • Professional Engagement
    • Read and adapt to different environments (“read the room”) to maximize recruitment opportunities.
    • Bring energy and enthusiasm to school visits, campus events, and student interactions.
    • Serve as a consistent, approachable point of contact for prospective students and their families.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree with relevant experience considered or 6 years of recruitment in education.
  • At least 3 years of experience in recruitment, admissions, or related student-facing roles.
  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a small office setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, reporting) and Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Represent VFMC at high schools, military academies, and community events

Support prospective students through the enrollment process

Manage admissions records and reports with strong Excel & Word skills
